About Magellan's Child

If you found our site, we're probably not much different than you. This site is the work of two couples who loved nothing more than travelling the world, often travelling spur of the moment with relatively little planning. Between us, we have been to all 50 states in the US, and 19 foreign countries.

Then we had kids! Between us we are now the proud parents of an infant and a toddler, with more on the way.

Once you have a child the thought of travelling, especially internationally, is a much more complicated endeavor. Hail the internet, there will be plenty of sites/resources dedicated to helping me plan family trips, right? That's what we thought, but we were very discouraged by what we found, so we decided that we would create the site that addressed our needs. So please view this as a work in progress and feel free to add your opinion. As the creators of the site, we necessarily suffer from myopia when viewing it, so please help us (and your fellow travelers) out by telling us what you find useful, what is lacking, etc.
